Boundaries

Cultures
that bring
A smile to
my face,
Cultures
that demand
Disaster
from the race.
Traditions
that bind us
Values that
shape us,
Rituals
that tie us,
Colors that
forsake us.
Gaps can be
bridged
Across
border can be lived.
Drawn by
the lines
Gets washed
away too soon.
Wars have
torn us apart
Heart of
stone we impart.
The minds
that are blown
Our deeds
have shown.
Reminiscence
of the past
Throws
light over the present,
Strikes
lightening in the future
Stormy
thunder is our teacher.
Shines the
rays of hope
The horrors
we might cope
Fears the
will that was,
Now and
forever, my humble abode.
